OB-C1225C Classic Casting Rod
With the addition of new models, our redesigned Outer Banks Classic Inshore rods have improved graphics. Each of rods is shaped with a variety of combinations of materials and rated to describe its appropriate by considering its application, environmental condition and fishing style.
Thick silver metallic criss cross thread wraps above the foregrip, silver graphics and silver check wraps on each guide show a clean, neat appearance.
Their mat black finish blanks are a great contrast to the glossy epoxy finish used on the foregrip to first guide area plus all wraps on guides and the tip top. Top this off with the cork grips and you have rods that have that expensive custom look most anglers want but find impossible to justify when it comes time to pay for the rods.
Now let’s talk about how we make these gorgeous and attractive rods. First we start with high quality tubular graphite composite blanks made to our exacting specifications. Provide strength, sensitivity and optimum performance. For each action, in either spin or cast, we have tested many blank variations to come up with the exact action we know inshore fisherman need. When we say it is an 8 to 17 pound line class rod, you can be sure that is the case.
Now we add the quality cork grips with rubber butt caps & graphite reel seats with padded inserts in the hoods in our blank thru handle construction. Then we mount our double braced double foot or single foot guides with polished aluminum oxide inserts with strong black thread with silver metallic check wraps. Our guides have 2 or 3 legs not the 4 legs one sees on lower quality rods. We do not skip on the number of guides either - 6 to 7 on cast models & 6 on spin rods plus tip tops. Some manufacturers use only 5 guides on their spin or cast rods. Both gloss and flat coats of epoxy insure each rod’s beauty, durability and strength.
The action of a rod reveals where it bends both during the cast and on the retrieve. The action, in blending with materials and components, determines a rod performance. Our new models in 12 to 25 lb. actions allow anglers to cast further with larger artificials or live bait while maintaining accuracy.
We have matched foregrip and reargrip lengths to the action and use of each rod. Now you know why we call these Classic rods our Value Spin and Cast Rods You Can Count On!
